We’re thrilled to announce that the Scientific Laboratory Show & Conference was once again an incredible success. With over 1,400 delegates in attendance and over 70 world-leading scientific suppliers, this show was a special reunion for many!
Highlights featured the opportunity to connect with fellow scientists, gain fresh perspectives from inspiring speakers and hands-on demonstrations, all whilst discovering the latest innovations from top scientific providers. Delegates were greeted by over 70 exhibition stalls, virtual reality booths, arcade games, liquid nitrogen ice cream and a Professional Development Zone delivered in conjunction with the Gambica, The Institute of Science & Technology (IST), Institute of Biomedical Science, and The Royal Society of Chemistry. Three prominent keynote speakers - Helen Czerski, Dr. Adam Rutherford and Robin Ince, also took to the stage delivering thought-provoking talks for all science enthusiasts in the lecture theatre.
For the first time ever, attendees also had the chance to compete in the SLS Arcade Olympics where hundreds of delegates tested their skills and expertise at Batak Pro, Danger Zone, Basketball, Whack-a-Molecule, and Roll & Bowl.
In a surprising turn of events, the SLS Arcade Olympics finished with a tie!
The grand prize of £250 in Amazon vouchers will be split between the two winners. Congratulations to Miss Alicia Edwards from University of Birmingham and Mr Jason Greaves from University of Nottingham, who won £125 in Amazon vouchers each.
But the good news doesn’t end here!
Mr. Richard Smith from De Montfort University is the lucky winner of our prize draw and is the recipient of £250 in Amazon vouchers.
