FGF-2, also known as basic FGF, is a growth factor that is produced mainly in fibroblasts, endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells. FGF-2 controls fundamental biological processes, including cell growth and differentiation, tissue formation, angiogenesis and wound healing. Recombinant human FGF-2 consists of 146 amino acids,16.06 kDa. FGF-2 is qualified for different applications including industrial cell-based meat production or cell culture.
- FGF-2 is produced in plant seeds of Camelina sativa bred in our laboratories in Strasbourg, France
- ≥95% measured by SDS page, and resolved under reduced (R) and non-reduced (NR) conditions
- The biological activity of bovine recombinant FGF-2 protein was determined by its ability to promote the proliferation of 3T3 cells cultured in adherent condition. Cell proliferation was measured using non-radioactive colorimetric assay and monitored by absorbance. ED50 0.1 ng/mL
- Low endotoxin level ≤0.005ng/µg
- Xeno-free
- Lyophilised protein is stable at room temperature upon arrival. Once it is reconstituted can be stored at -20ºC or -80ºC for up to 1 year
